NORTH AMERICA FINTECH DEALS

  • MoneyLion, a fintech platform, reports a record-breaking quarter of $121 million. Congrats!

  • Volta, a start-up that aims to reconnect people to the energy market, has secured $4.1 million in seed funding from Fika Ventures and Haven Ventures.


SOUTH AMERICA FINTECH DEALS

  • QI Tech announced a $50 million Series B round extension led by General Atlantic, catapulting the firm past the $1 billion valuation mark. Congrats on the unicorn status!

  • Nubank reaches 100 million customers across Latin America.


EUROPE FINTECH DEALS

  • Pleo, an expense management platform, raised €40 million in debt funding from HSBC Innovation Banking.

  • Abound, a fintech loan provider, raised £800 million in equity (provided by GSR Ventures)  and debt (provided by Citi) funding. 

  • Ageras, the SME accounting software provider, raised €82 million in funding from investors, including Investcorp, Lazard Asset Management, Formueforvalterne Investering & Tryghed, and Folketrygdfondet.

  • Urban Jungle, a home insurance provider, raised £11.2 million from investors, including the Sony Innovation Fund.

  • Eleos, a life insurance and income protection provider, raised $4 million in seed funding, led by Fuel Ventures and Indico Capital.

  • iwoca, software for SMEs to access loans quickly, raised £270 million in debt funding from Citibank, Insight Investment, Barclays, and Värde. 

  • SoftBank is in talks to buy UK chip startup Graphcore, according to Bloomberg,

  • Artion, software that automates and tracks legally required company inspections, raised €1.4 million in a funding round from investors, including Dovesco, Tilleghem, and Belfius.

  • Fintech Farm, which sells tech to medium-sized banks in emerging markets to build digital tools, has raised $32 million in funding from Nordstar and Bank of Georgia.

  • Affirm reported a robust 36% year-over-year growth in GMV, totaling $6.3 billion.

  • Iyzico is set to acquire Paynet, a B2B and B2B2C payment services firm in an $87 million deal.

  • British Business Investments has announced a £50 million commitment with DunPort Capital Management to create a co-investment vehicle, Alder Corporate Credit DAC.

  • Fundcraft, a supplier of digital infrastructure for asset management firms, has closed a €5 million Series A funding round, led by Swiss VC Aperture Capital.

  • SAVR, a modern and honest savings platform, has secured an undisclosed investment firm, Incore Invest.


AFRICA FINTECH DEALS

  • Swypex has secured $4 million in a seed round led by US venture capital firm Accel.


ASIA FINTECH DEALS

  • Linnovate Partners, specializing in asset servicing and fintech for the alternative investment industry, received $40 million from Seatown.

  • Lendingkart has raised $10 million through external commercial borrowing from BlueOrchard.

  • GXBank, a Malaysia-based digital bank backed by Grab and Singtel, has entered into a 10-year partnership with Zurich General Insurance Malaysia and Zurich Life Insurance Malaysia.
